cData - TextData

TextData is one of the collection of five extra windows with data capability for Visio called cData.

TextData adds the ability to view and edit multi-line text to Microsoft Visio SmartShapes™ and pages.

TextData is a new Visio Add-in from bVisual ltd that enables multi-line text viewing and editing in a floating or docked, resizable window. Text files can also be imported into the SmartShapes™ or pages.

Visio SmartShapes can have many custom properties, and there are two alternative built-in methods of editing them, but they only cater for single-line text. TextData gives you the ability to view or edit upto 64k characters in each custom property, data or comment cell.

You can now, for example :

• fully describe a person or an item of equipment
• annotate with notes
• add reviewers comments

The user can configure the TextData window to have as many tabs as required for easy display and editing of a SmartShape or page’s Comment, Data or text Custom Properties. The TextData window can also be merged with other Visio windows.
