cData - ImageData
ImageData is one of the collection of five extra windows with data capability for Visio called cData.
ImageData adds the power of images to Microsoft Visio by displaying any number of pictures for any selected
item.
ImageData is a new Visio Add-in from bVisual ltd that enables images to be viewed in a floating or docked,
resizable window. The file path for the image is stored in any string custom property, data cell or
comment in a shape or page.
You can tag, for example :
- personnel’s photos to organisation charts
- desk layouts to office floor plans
- rack elevations to network cabinets
and because the images are not embedded in the Visio document, you will always see the latest one, without
the need to refresh any links! You can even add the image to the Visio page with a single mouse click.
The user can configure the ImageData window to have as many tabs as required for easy display and editing
of a SmartShape or page’s Comment, Data or text Custom Properties. The ImageData window can also be
merged with other Visio windows.
The add-in can be used as a COM Add-in in Visio 2002+, or called from VB(A) in either Visio 2000 or
2002+. This means that it is immediately available to the end user, or can be included in custom solutions
by developers.
